02 / Capability index

The disciplines behind a complete system.

Velox Tech provides engineering and bespoke development. Engage a single discipline or combine expertise around a defined development programme.

Indicative outputs below are agreed to suit your scope.

01

Electronics & embedded systems

Connect the physical hardware with the software that controls it.

Example outputs

Circuit-board designs · Firmware

Discuss: power, connectivity and operating conditions.

Discuss electronics requirement
02

Mechanical design & industrialization

Develop the enclosure and assembly around how a system will be used and made.

Example outputs

Mechanical designs · Assembly documentation

Discuss: materials, sealing, service access and production needs.

Discuss mechanical design requirement
03

Software & operational systems

Build bespoke software around the people, workflows and systems it serves.

Example outputs

Application software · Interface documentation

Discuss: existing systems, user needs and acceptance criteria.

Discuss bespoke software requirement
04

Sensors & system integration

Connect measurement sources so their data can be used by the wider system.

Example outputs

Interface definitions · Integration test plans

Discuss: measurement conditions and first-party versus third-party hardware.

Discuss sensing requirement
05

Imaging & edge AI

Bring image capture and artificial intelligence processing close to where observations are made.

Example outputs

Imaging prototypes · Verification plans

Discuss: visibility, optics, processing limits and representative test data.

Discuss imaging requirement

03 / Application & responsibility

Aquaculture applications,
with clear responsibility.

Underwater imaging equipment among fish, from the company presentation.
Vision and sensing for demanding underwater environments.
ObservationProcessingOperator information

From observation to useful operational insight.

Explore the application and the evidence behind it, then discuss development with Tech or commercialization with Aqua.

Products & solutions

Velox Aqua

Discuss aquaculture applications, commercial availability and lifecycle responsibility. Product ownership is transitioning; supported configurations and responsibilities need confirmation for your enquiry.

R&D for hire

Velox Tech

Develop and integrate mechanics, electronics, sensing and bespoke software around the application. Integrated third-party sensors remain distinct from Velox-developed hardware.

Software tools & solutions

Velox Digital

Velox Digital is planned and not yet operational. Discuss project management, supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA), and product-testing analytics. Tools, integrations, licensing and availability need confirmation. This does not imply inclusion in an Aqua configuration.

Discuss software tools

The environment is part of the requirement.

For aquaculture, discuss underwater visibility, biofouling, sensing and access for maintenance. For industrial technology, establish interfaces, operating conditions and verification needs before selecting a design.

Discuss your operating conditions

04 / Evidence & examples

Insight starts with the right evidence.

A useful technical example states its purpose, scope and operating conditions. An illustration explains an idea; test evidence must establish what a system can do.

Technology note / Source-reported capability

Imaging for lice and pellet detection

Application
Underwater imaging and processing for aquaculture observation.
Source-reported status
Lice and pellet detection have been validated in development. Discuss the configuration and operating conditions relevant to your application.
Evidence to review
Configuration, test conditions, measurement method, limitations and dated results must be reviewed for the intended application. Performance and availability are confirmed for the agreed application.

05 / Delivery & quality

Defined requirements.
Visible decisions.

Discovery, requirements, iteration and verification create a record of what was agreed and delivered. Start with discovery, targeted development or an end-to-end programme, with scope agreed together.

  1. 01

    Discover

    Problem definition

Establish the operating context, customer need and unknowns.

  2. 02

    Define

    Agreed requirements

Define interfaces, constraints and what acceptance will mean.

  3. 03

    Plan

    Development plan

Agree priorities, responsibilities and review points.

  4. 04

    Iterate

    Reviewed iteration

Review prototypes and record decisions and scope changes.

  5. 05

    Verify

    Acceptance evidence

Check the agreed requirements under defined test conditions.

  6. 06

    Handover

    Customer-owned deliverables

Transfer developed parts, software, source code, designs, documentation and associated IP and ownership rights, without an extra ownership fee.

06 / People & accountability

A multidisciplinary team behind the work.

Technical leadership and delivery teams work across Frakkagjerd, Norway, and Nha Trang, Vietnam. The development conversation connects disciplines around your requirements.
